High school math teacher Chelsea Gardner has developed what she considers a perfect plan for finding the right man for herself. After some failed relationships she has come up with what she considers a perfect list of requirements for what she's looking for in a man.

Bar owner Sebastian "Bash" Palmer thinks her list is ridiculous and intends to prove her wrong by offering to help her find her "perfect" man.

Chelsea feels Bash is totally not the right one because he hardly meets any of her requirements -- but she's drawn to him anyway. The two of them begin a physical relationship that they intend to keep casual. But what started out as casual has turned into more than either of them saw coming.

Bash feels that he is not a sure thing for a committed relationship. So when Chelsea tells Bash how her feelings for him have changed into something more -- he backs off. He's scared because the one serious relationship he had was a failure. After backing away from Chelsea he realizes what a huge mistake he has made and enlists her friends to help him fix things.

Chelsea and Bash both learn a lesson in trusting each other and basing their feelings on their current relationship and forgetting about any past relationships.

The various characters provide some lively entertainment. And when Bash hurts Chelsea, by backing away from her, he gets to see what girl power really means. Because he knows that without their help he will never get another chance with Chelsea.
