Eve woke up in an Atlanta hospital with absolutely no memory, a blank slate. It is only her own face in the newspaper that gives her a lead to her past. BROKEN will definitely keep you glued to the pages. The pace is fast, the characters believable and the action unforgettable. Gabe might be skeptical about Eve and her amnesia but he takes the case and works hard to get answers, while trying hard to not fall for this woman. Eve is determined to find answers no matter what they might be. This leads to an introduction to the inhabitants of Dauphin Island in Alabama, where she is called Jessica Montgomery, including an ex-boyfriend police chief Trey Wallace and her brother Pierce Montgomery. These guys are more than willing to tell Gabe all about her "sordid" past. Through it all Gabe stands by Eve, working to get her to the real truth despite the chance that those answers just might leave him out in the cold.

BROKEN is the first of author Cynthia Eden's LOST series. With this book we get the introduction of the elite team which includes: ex-FBI agent Dean Bannon, forensic specialist Victoria Palmer, psychiatrist and profiler Sarah Jacobs and former detective Wade Monroe. All top notch people, who believe in what they are doing. If you are looking for suspense that will have you biting your nails, characters that you want to meet, or not depending on if they are good guys or bad, action and steamy romance then BROKEN is a must read.
