WAY OF THE WARRIOR is an amazing compilation from eight talented action/romance authors with the added incentive to buy and read this book ... all author and publisher proceeds will go to Wounded Warrior Project. All the stories, some might belong to various author's series, are stand alone. No matter what type of read you might be looking for; romance, suspense, military or action you will find one or all of these to your liking. Following are the various title, authors, synopsis and very short review of each.

Hot as Hell by Julie Ann Walker: A dangerous situation throws Harper and SEAL team member Mark together when the Embassy she works in is attacked.

Harper was distancing herself from the sexy SEAL who wasn't about to let her escape, especially when he gets to be the one with her in the panic room. Well developed for as short as it is. A sexy and fun read.

In Plain Sight by Catherine Mann: Stacy and Gavin get a second chance at love if only they can survive her killer ex.

Surprises and reconnection are uppermost in this story. Add to that a good blend of suspense, an adorable service dog and a good touch of steamy romance and this one is a perfect read.

Torn by Kate SeRine: War injured Joe returned to take up a life he's sure he isn't fit for and isn't sure he even wants, but his best friend Sadie has a stalker, one who had recently become more vicious. He has to find himself quickly before the situation turns deadly.

Loved the friends, lovers situation and the stalker plot was well developed as was the rebuilding of the romance between them. Good read.

War Games by Lea Griffith: Anthony "Rook" Granger is in prison, framed for a crime he did not commit and the only person who believes him is his dead buddy's sister, Vivi. She made a promise to help him and will do just that.

In a word ... wow. The intensity of this book starts with the first page and doesn't stop. Good mixture of suspense, romance and intrigue. I hope this is the beginning of a long series.

Beauty and the Marine by Tina Wainscott: Griff Tate a scarred vet, retreating from the world, is asked to help a lovely model, Kristy Marsden with a stalker. He doesn't expect the beauty to have her own scars or for him to find out love could really be his.

Well developed with the fears understandable, he doesn't want pity and she wants her life back. I can usually guess the bad guy but I wasn't expecting this ending at all. Well done and above it all a sweet romance.

NSDQ by M.S. Buchman: Combat Search and Rescue pilot Army Capt. Lois Lang, aka Superwoman pulls a maneuver that saves her crew and passengers, got her a few medals but cost her a leg. She lives to fly and now it is up to Kendall Clark, civilian Black Hawk specialist to help her start over.

Enjoyed the roll reversal with Capt. Lois as the vet learning to live again. And once you learn what the title means you will know that it is part of the power that helps her heal. The other part is love.

SEALed With Passion by Anne Elizabeth: Jonah Melo, is one determined SEAL. He had met and fell for Alisha Winters at his buddy's wedding, but a huge misunderstanding sent him packing. Now back to settle the couple into their new home he finds Alisha is their interior designer and the flame is still flying high.

Good romance story with a lot of steamy christening of rooms. I enjoyed the "help" they got from their friends that kept pushing Jonah and Alisha together.

Home Fires Inferno by Suzanne Brockmann: Trouble Shooters novella finds very pregnant Jennilyn Gillman and her sister- in-law Eden stranded on a desert road as her water breaks. Her husband Danny is a SEAL on Team's status, which means he is mission ready and out of town so she doesn't want to worry him. So the adventure begins.

As anyone who knows me knows I am a sucker for team camaraderie and this book gives a fantastic look at how "family" can really be as a number of people rush to help the new baby arrive safely. I have loved the Trouble Shooters books and this one is just a great touch to remind me I need to go back and re-read a few.
