Walt Longmire is the sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming where anything can happen, and usually does. The locals are out to "Save Jen" the fossils of a Tyrannosaurus Rex that Cheyenne tribe member had claimed that she belongs to him. She was found on the Cheyenne land. Then he is found dead and Sheriff Longmire, with his trusty undersheriff Victoria Moretti along with Dog and the help of others, have to find out how all of this is connected and why. To make things worse, Longmire has personal family matters to deal with as well. Will Longmire get to the bottom of who really owns the biggest find ever?
DRY BONES is packed with the amusing characters that we have grown to love in Craig Johnson's beloved series. Even if you are jumping into the series for the first time with this novel you will quickly understand everyone's relationships with each other. You'll love the connections Longmire has with his locals with my favorite being with Victoria, his under-sheriff and love interest. Their display of seriousness in their work but also the flirtation during those not so serious situations all happens in the appropriate times.
Treat yourself this summer with this delightful western story with a main character that you'll find easy to love. DRY BONES written by Craig Johnson is a magnificent mystery that you will be sure to get hooked on.

When Jen, the largest, most complete
Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever found surfaces in Sherriff

step forward to claim her, including Danny’s family, the

town, Walt is determined to find out who would benefit from
Danny’s death, enlisting old friends Lucian Connolly and
