In this political thriller, we meet Malcolm Keyes, an ad man with an eidetic memory, that finds himself thrust into the privileged company of the new President, Richard Halliday. Halliday recognises that a man of Malcolm's talents is invaluable to him, and the President also appreciates that Malcolm believes in him and his plans for America's future in defusing this nuclear age. When the President uncovers a CIA facility that has been developing an unknown weapon - known as the GOD Project - he uses Malcolm's abilities to unravel the mystery.

With political subterfuge, back stabbing, and underhand tactics around every corner, Malcolm soon finds himself in extremely dangerous situations. While breaking down the secrecy surrounding the GOD Project, the reality of the political landscape begins to take its toll on Malcolm. And when Malcolm realises that the weapon is a who, not a what, his life becomes even more difficult - because he is similar in many ways to this mystery weapon, and there are plenty of political factions that will kill to get their hands on him. Will Malcolm be able to aid President Halliday, and wade through the dark underworld of party politics, or will his time run out?

THE GOD PROJECT by Stan Lee is the first political thriller that I have read, and it will definitely not be my last. Even though this novel is not a recent release - 1990 - I never once felt like I was reading an outdated story. The plot line was energetic, dangerous, and stimulating and I got caught up in the frenzy surrounding the GOD Project weapon. Malcolm's character is so complex and unusual, yet he is inherently likeable, and I found myself hoping he would emerge from the entire debacle unscathed. I found THE GOD PROJECT by Stan Lee intriguing, gripping and most of all, interesting.

Book Summary
