Emily has loved Luke her whole life. He is her childhood sweetheart and his feelings for her are the same. Elam has always loved Emily but he also always knew she was in love with Luke. He loves her from a distance and at first, he doesn't care that Luke has left. He knows Emily still loves him. Until one day they begin a friendship that has Emily seeing Elam in a whole new light. Is she over Luke? Does she still love him? Can Elam love Emily knowing she still loves Luke? COURTING EMILY had me in the edge of my seat and reading late into the night! I had to know what was going to happen to the three of them and who Emily was going to chose!

I found myself thinking about Emily and Elam long after I finished their story. I was totally invested in their lives and was cheering for them the whole time I was reading. Often, I was yelling at Emily not to make the choices she was making and sometimes I was laughing out loud at the things she was saying. COURTING EMILY is filled with love, forgiveness, letting go, and romance. I loved the interaction between Emily and Elam's father James. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. Amy Lillard's writing held me captive from the very first page until the last page. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
