Ryan Huston serves Willow Bend pack in all their public financial dealings. He is able to segue into and out of human life and has just the right connections. Though he is usually at odds with the Alpha leader of his pack, he is loyal. That loyalty has never been tested until he meets Tiffany. Now this WOLF AT LAW may become an outlaw.

Tiffany Anderson had grown up hard in a world filled with uncertainties, but then she met Giles Taglioni in what seemed like a happy accident. Her fairy tale finally comes true ... until it turns into a nightmare. She struggled through the abuse for her daughter Alexis' sake but now she wants out. She's afraid that one day he will turn on Alexis and that's not going to happen. But finding a lawyer who will stand up to Taglioni and his money and connections seems impossible until she finds Ryan Huston.

Like no one she has ever known Tiffany is just not sure he is real ... there are no such things as knights in shining armor coming to her rescue. Maybe she is right ... he is no knight but one angry wolf just might do the job.

WOLF AT LAW is the story I have been wanting to read and am glad author Heather Long decided to write it. Since reading the first Wolves of Willow Bend book (Wolf Bite) and getting snippets of Ryan and Tiffany's story it has been one I wanted to know more about. And as always Ms. Long gave me just what I was looking for.

Ryan is exactly as I pictured ... one tough son of a gun when his protective instincts kick in, but a gentle warrior who knows just how to handle what life unexpectedly hands him. Tiffany is understandably reluctant to believe that someone like Ryan exists, considering her past life and how her fairy tale exploded on her.

I don't normally like prequels, because you already know most of the mystery tied to the couple in question, but WOLF AT LAW is full of surprises and the temperature does turn up a couple of notches in a very satisfying way. If you haven't read any of Heather Long's Wolves of Willow Bend books ... what are you waiting for? If you like to read sexy paranormals with great characters that come to life before your eyes, then pick up this series and enjoy. Going in my TRA shelf and waiting for more.

Book Summary

Long before Mason left Willow Bend, Ryan met his mate and brought her home...this is the prequel to the Wolves of Willow Bend and the story of Ryan and Tiffany.

Ryan Huston serves the pack in all their public financial dealings. Connected politically and personally, he possesses a unique ability to segue into and out of human life. He’s never been afraid to use his animal’s dominance to his advantage and, though he and Toman—the Alpha of Willow Bend—are often at odds, his loyalty to the pack has never truly been tested. Not until he meets Tiffany.

Tiffany Anderson grew up hard in a world defined by its uncertainties. Meeting Giles Taglioni seemed like a happy accident turned fairy tale. Five years into the abusive marriage, Tiffany wants out. Tiffany knows Taglioni will never let go of his daughter—he’d kill her before he lets her take Alexis away from him. A desperate woman with no options until a chance encounter changes everything.

Ryan is like no one Tiffany’s ever met, but she doesn’t dare believe him when he offers to help her. Long ago made familiar with the monsters in the dark, she doesn’t dream of princes on white horses sweeping her away. She also never imagined a big, bad wolf was exactly what she needed.
