Kane was raised with dark magic and knows the insidious way it can warp the user. Her position in the court gives her the chance to find information that could lead to Kierthan's downfall.

When Kane becomes the head of the Duke's guard, Theda is leery of Kane. As she sees him start enforcing discipline amongst the guards and the respect that he treats her with, Theda is drawn to Kane.

Working together is the only way they can defeat Kierthan and the evil being that controls his behavior.

The Warriors of the Mist has been an engrossing and satisfying series. The theme of finding love and redemption will draw the reader in every time. When it is paired with fascinating characters and the chance to defeat great evil, you have a winning combination.
