Dr. Gregory Hewitt is having a hard time convincing himself that he isn't insane. What is also bothering him is that he is surrounded by a family that seems to be more insane then he is. Can insanity rub off from a bunch of lunatics onto a physiatrist? Although, he finds the blonde woman beautiful, he's just not sure he can actually live with being dinner. Sex slave, yes... Dinner, no.
I've read other reviews for this book, and I really can't agree with what they are saying. Now, I do believe that Single White Vampire and Tall, Dark, and Hungry are better than this--but not by much. To be completely honest, Lucern's story is the best of all her vampire books and mainly because of the codpiece incident.
Like most of her books, Sands brought together a mix of humor and romance that most writers seem to miss. In some areas of the story, I was crying from laughing so hard. All in all, I think Sands did a wonderful job and I am hoping she does Thomas' story soon.
Book Summary
That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau's bed? He's not dessert -- he's the main course!
Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood ... an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?
Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly -- once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into ... if he can just get Lissianna to bite.
