Celeste DuFrane is on top of the world, with her father making the first break through for colorized movies. With her father's success, Celeste is able to start acting in small parts in the movies and works very hard to achieve her goals in acting, even though her mother is against it. After Celeste's parents pass away, she receives shocking news that she must split her inheritance with a woman who was accused of killing her baby sister many years ago.

Dana Lundgren who has spent most of her childhood tormented in the Bridewell House of Corrections for a murder she did not commit, finds herself at the door of the DuFrane mansion. She is truly confused as to why Mrs. DuFrane who blantley accused Dana of killing her baby has left her half of the inheritance. Dana would also like to know what has happened to her mother when she was imprisoned and she hopes to find the answers here at the DuFrame mansion.

As Dana and Celeste take a journey through the family secrets while reading a confession written by Marguerite DuFrane, Celeste's mother found after she died. As the confessions are read, the girls find they have so much more in common then they could ever believe. Some of Marguerite's confessions are so ruthless with lies upon lies, but when all is said and done, both Dana and Celeste can now live their lives in peace. Warm and loving peace!

I had the honor of reading one of Allison Pittman's books for the first time. ALL FOR A SISTER is filled with many secrets and surprises. Will there be a happy ending for Dana and Celeste? Will they live their lives in peace? I am so very pleased to have read this book, a recommended read!
