UNBREAKABLE is a prequel novella in the Shadow Falls: After Dark series. Chase is a mysterious figure in the novel Reborn, a vampire who both appeals to and confuses Della. I love the glimpse into Chase's past that UNBREAKABLE gives us as it adds so much more depth to the series as a whole.

C.C. Hunter packs a lot of story into UNBREAKABLE. Chase is attracted to his sister's best friend, Tami, and this trip throws them together quite a bit. Chase's loyalty permeates every aspect of his life, from his determination to protect his sister, to his budding relationship with Tami, and even more so in his love for his dog, Baxter. The ending is poignant and heartbreaking even though it's apparent from the very first page what will happen. C.C. Hunter does a marvelous job at showing readers the emotions Chase goes through as his world turns completely upside down.

UNBREAKABLE is a short but powerful novella that is a must-read for fans of C.C. Hunter's new Shadow Falls: After Dark series. C.C. Hunter is a master at conveying emotional situations and UNBREAKABLE is no exception. I won't lie- I sneaked a peak at the end to prepare myself for what would happen with Baxter. If you haven't read a book by C.C. Hunter, then UNBREAKABLE is the perfect place to get a taste of what this phenomenal author has to offer!
