Tasked with solving the murder, Merit and Ethan soon discover that there are more details to this crime as the number of deaths mount, resulting in a chase to find the killer.
Meanwhile, Merit is concerned about Ethan who seemed to be hiding something from her. Though he promises her that she will forever be his, his actions continue to spark suspicion, making Merit wonder if she can trust Ethan when he won't tell her everything in times of trouble.
It is clear that Neill always have a clear plan in her mind before she begins writing her books because there is no word or chapter out of place or wasted. Everything is perfectly paced and tautly written, which helps in engaging the readers with the mystery in this story. Neill weaves an intricate web of events that never once felt convoluted or confusing. In fact, I don't think I've read a Chicagoland Vampires novel as quickly as I did with this one.
While each instalment brings immense excitement, Neill also continues to bring drama to the romance, keeping things fresh between the protagonists. Yet the book ends with an intriguing note that not only causes worry and alarm for our main protagonists, but will cause readers to be intrigued by the route Neill plans to take next. BLOOD GAMES is a fast- paced romp surely to engage any reader!
