Jaxon Campbell, keyboardist and player decides it is time to do something he never thought he would do again. Unfortunately, the last time he saw Natalie Thorton he broke her heart and worse stole her autographed AC/DC album.

Natalie is the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has completely gotten over her thing for Jaxon. She is a professional ... until he walks back into her life. They want something from each other; he a musician perfect for his band and she ... well, she wants him.

GETTING PLAYED is a quick paced, witty and sexy story that has a very intriguing twist at the end. Jaxon is the epitome of what everyone thinks a rocker is, and the first pages might even have you laughing at his antics, while Natalie comes off as snotty and uptight. At first glance you cannot see how it is possible they could ever be attracted to each other, until author Lexxie Couper allows the reader to see the vulnerability when it comes to each other. The ending is very good with a twist that only Ms. Couper could have come up with, though I think anyone who has followed her Heart of Fame series will certainly find it an intriguing surprise. Heart of Fame is a good series, and I can't wait to see what else Lexxie Couper comes up with in the future.
