Kate and Lucas first meet in a very unorthodox way. Lucas comes home unexpectedly only to find Kate has taken up residence in his house. His kind-hearted aunt is responsible for the confusion. One of the reasons I really like the pairing of Kate and Lucas is because they are both very sympathetic, good people and have a lot in common. They both have toxic relationships with their extremely difficult exes, and they both care deeply for their children. There are many poignant scenes because of the drama involving the children. In spite of the heavy themes, the romance that develops between Kate and Lucas is extremely steamy and not always full of drama. Part of the conflict and obstacle to the two finding happiness together is Kate's attitude toward relationships and men in general. After being badly burned by past relationships with her father and the father of her child, she has some emotional scars.

Kate and Lucas are exactly the type of person each other needs in their lives. Kate is an extremely caring woman, great mother, and is attracted to Lucas. Likewise, Lucas slowly proves himself to be the kind of man Kate has always wanted to support her emotionally and be able to rely on. Jennifer Faye does a nice job of balancing the sweet and tender moments with the sizzling, erotic scenes.

SAFE IN THE TYCOON'S ARMS by Jennifer Faye is a very emotionally powerful story of two broken people finding each other and attempting to put their lives back together. The epilogue puts a nice cap on the story. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
