Nichelle is also involved with two new men. One is Joey; he is your typical Mafia type. The other one is Kyle who is on the police force. Two men completely different, but she is attracted to both of them.

Nichelle has just gotten into bed when she receives a phone call from Parker. Parker is also a reporter, but he is too close to this story. Parker knows that Nichelle will handle this story with kid gloves. Parker's best friend is Tony, who is a super bowl quarterback. They just found his son dead from an apparent suicide. Parker doesn't believe for a minute that TJ would kill himself.

Nichelle heads out to investigate this story. After meeting with Tony and his wife, Nichelle also feels that this is not a suicide. The day before TJ's funeral his girlfriend is also found dead they are ruling it as a suicide also. All the facts are not adding up.

Nichelle has also discovered that moonshine might be what is killing kids. She also found that the police chief's family is involved in making moonshine, along with the secretary at the school so who in this small town is the murder?

LynDee Walker's books are a delight. I can just picture Nichelle trying to solve murder cases in high heels. The story line keep moving, there is nowhere where I thought, gee when is this going to pickup the pace. I hope that LynDee continues to keep writing this type of cozy mystery.
