Elijah, Gage, Ben, Seth, and another "old soul" at 1, Asher, are the center and life of Laney and Noah's being. Noah's parents, Maddie and Asa, live in New Hampshire and spend their summers at the Cape. The family has more than their share of dealing with the mysterious ways in which God works as they are tested by a 10 year old's death, a student bullying Asher, a family member facing a brain tumor, dealing with a beach wedding, and ending with a death. Noah and his faith are tested when tragedy strikes in his own domain. The lesson taught is that life unfolds in unexpected ways, but God is always present to guide us. The beautiful setting of the Cape enhances the lives of the Coleman family.

UNDER A SUMMER SKY by Nan Rossiter is a very heartwarming and fulfilling story of life, love, and tragic loss which is endured by everyone in the normal course of life. Having God at your back is the ultimate in overcoming the obstacles thrown at you during your lifetime. I fell in love with the Coleman's while feeling their heartbreak and also their happiness in the love of God. I am never disappointed with Nan Rossiter's wonderful tales and her ability to include the love of animals. The delicious recipes included are just a plus in UNDER A SUMMER SKY.It's refreshing to read a story of this caliber and be left with contentment and faith in the lasting bonds of family.
