Bayleigh Scott lives in a nice quite neighborhood. Most of her neighbors are older, and she is able to sleep in whenever she wants to. That is until Cade Mackenzie moves in next door and wakes her on day one, working outside and making a racket. Without even realizing it, she goes outside in her sexy pj's and tells him to shut up. Cade is an undercover DEA agent who has moved to town searching for the man who killed his ex-girlfriend and shot him. Cade believes the cartel is moving into the area and wants to be there to stop the head of the cartel; a man who killed his own daughter.

Things steam up between these neighbors. No matter how hard Cade tries to resist, he just finds Bayleigh too sexy. Cade knows any relationship with her could end as bad as his last one. The cartel will find him sooner or later, but he can't stop himself.

CADE is a great story in the MacKenzie series by Liliana Hart. Her characters work well together, and even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. The way Hart introduces characters from past books makes it possible to read this one without reading the others and enjoy it. CADE is a good read, and you will want to read the rest of the series after you read it.
