Lady Olivia Archer has had very little luck when it comes to finding a husband, so much so that her parents are willing to set her up with a man who has a questionable reputation. Phinneas Cole, who is also known as the Mad Baron, has shown his interest in marrying Olivia but there is one thing holding her back. Rumors have said that he murdered his previous wife.

In an attempt to show him that they do not suit, Olivia does everything a respectable woman should not do to tempt Phinn's wrath. However, her efforts seem to backfire on her as Phinn quite likes the fiery spark in Olivia's eyes.

WALLFLOWER GONE WILD is funny, cute and sexy, taking me by total surprise. Both Olivia and Phinn's character leapt from the pages and burrowed their way straight into my heart. Their personalities, though completely opposite, were what drew me to them in the first place. Olivia's fiery ambition and determination set her apart from the rest of the respectable ladies and I figure that is also what drew Phinn to her as well.

Phinn is a classic character with wicked intentions. Though details about him are kept secret for the first half of the book, I loved how Rodale focused on the romance first before divulging the details of his past. The emphasis on the romance really solidified their bond so by the time the one thing that stood in their way was addressed, it didn't seem like such a big conflict anymore.

Maya Rodale hits all the right notes with the second instalment of the Wallflowers/i> series. Saturated with silly and sexy scenes, WALLFLOWER GONE WILD thoroughly entertains and has become one of my favourite Historical Romance reads this year.
