The train is arriving... and the nightmare is about to get worse!

THE TRAP picks up right where THE PREY left off. Sissy, Gene, and the rest of the humans, called hebers, are on a train headed directly to the Royal Palace. Gene is offered one chance to save everyone he loves but it will put him in direct conflict with the girl he left behind, Ashley June. What choices will Gene make in a world where vampire-like creatures, called duskers, are the primary rulers over everything?

Wow! THE TRAP has some huge insights into how the duskers and hebers came into existence. I would strongly suggest reading THE TRAP in the order of the series, as it is the third book and the development of the characters and the world has been building up to this stunning conclusion. THE TRAP pulls together everything we thought we knew about the characters and then throws some new twists into the mix.

Andrew Fukuda takes vampire lore and spins it on its head! What a phenomenal twist to the mythology of vampires- and one that still has my head spinning from the possibilities. I almost have to kick myself for not figuring out the ending although honestly we have just as many questions left unanswered as we do answers given.

THE TRAP is a thrilling conclusion to The Hunt Trilogy. The action doesn't relent until the very last page. Be prepared though as there are some stunning developments that may leave you questioning and wanting to reread the first two books just to see how the puzzle fits together.

Book Summary

After barely escaping the Mission alive, Gene and Sissy face an impossible task: staying alive long enough to stop an entire world bent on their destruction. Bound on a train heading into the unknown with the surviving Mission girls, Gene, Sissy, David, and Epap must stick together and use everything they have to protect each other and their only hope: the cure that will turn the blood-thirsty creatures around them into humans again. Now that they know how to reverse the virus, Gene and Sissy have one final chance to save those they love and create a better life for themselves. But as they struggle to get there, Gene's mission sets him on a crash course with Ashley June, his first love . . . and his deadliest enemy.
