Lucas Mason is a southern boy who has worked hard to become a self-made millionaire to enjoy luxury in Boston. His sister was murdered while working on a product that will mask the scent of the wolf in those shifters that were only capable of changing with the moon. Dominic was her partner and now is ready for the trials. Secretly taking the product himself he comes face to face with Gina and knows immediately that she is his mate, but because of the serum she doesn't even know he's a wolf.

As the trials loom closer and his feeling for her deepen, an unknown enemy is trying to stop them in any way they can. Can he protect his research and his mate from whomever ... or whatever is coming after them?

UNMASKING THE WOLF is filled with action but is also a very romantic, different style of paranormal. I liked the way author Christy Gissendaner introduces the reader to her characters and slowly adds facts and personality as you go along until with each page you get a wider picture of everything. As you turn the pages you will get to know more about the characters lifestyles, past and present; the reason behind the research and why someone wants it stopped and watch as the love grows. For Gina, she was lucky enough to have fallen for him before she found out the truth and for Lucas he was lucky that Dominic was there to help her face what she really wants out of life. I was able to read this book in one sitting and at the end I wanted to start all over again. I will be looking for more by this author.
