Lauren Dane's story, LAND'S END, Verity Coleman and Loyal Alsbaugh find love in a dangerous world. The Land's End highway poses a threat to the people and as a patrolman, it is Loyal's job to keep everyone safe. Though usually reserved, Loyal is anything but that in the bedroom. His dirty talk and his love for Verity shines through, creating a fiery romance that readers will devour with great zeal. Dane integrates wonderful worldbuilding and a strong romance in this story to make this a perfectly balanced novella.

In the second story, Megan Hart delves deep into the reader's soul with her contribution, BY THE SEA OF SAND. Touching and heartwarming, this is the story of Captain Kason Reed, a man who gave up his life for the Sheirran Defense Forces. When he returns, he is a broken man who is tormented by the trauma he has endured. He remembers nothing but the bad. However, Teila, his caregiver, doesn't dare give up on him.

Hart is no stranger to making readers feel for her characters so I don't know why I was so surprised by the potency of Kason's story. A tale of healing, the progression and growth of Kason's character is believable and well-done. It's no wonder both of these authors are auto-buys for me. Lauren Dane and Megan Hart always deliver!
