DARK LYCAN is a sensual, gripping and exciting continuation of author Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. This one is the first of a trilogy that will continue with the long awaited Dimitri's story then Tatijana's sister Branislava's story. I loved Fenris and Tatijana, they were, of course, perfect for each other, as lifemates should be. He is strong and patient, especially after finding out her past, and knowing he wouldn't rush her, he can not hurt her. She wanted to be free but she also knows that being independent might damage him and uses her growing love to protect him and finding in him her freedom.

Ms. Feehan continues writing her stories with the same freshness and vivacity as the first Carpathian books but I did find this book had a few too many fight scenes and would have loved to have had a little more "family" time spent with the other Carpathians. I cannot wait for Dimitri and Skylar's book and look forward to whatever else that comes from this author.
