Five Golden Rings by Jeffe Kennedy: Tilda Campbell is heading for a trip to Cozumel minus one boyfriend when an on-flight conversation leads to so much more. Miguel d'Oro is headed to the same resort, only he is there to deal with a problem his family is having there. What starts out as a game to relieve them both of the loneliness and tension becomes so much more.
This story dives right into the action and you get the pleasure of watching the couple learn more about each other, pushing each other even with the secrets left to reveal. A very good, sexy story with an interesting twist on the Twelve Days of Christmas song.
Ménage on 34th Street by Elise Logan and Emily Ryan-Davis: Kat and Liam Holland had been married for 10 years, it had always been a more permissive marriage, but it wasn't until Hunter Croft returned to them that the joy in their lives also returned. Liam and Hunter had been buddies until he and Kat married, Hunter stepped away even though he wanted her. He had no way of knowing that the three of them could be family.
I am not normally into m/m situations and this story certainly has its share of that but it also dealt with love and acceptance no matter what sexual need may follow. Interesting read and according to the editor's note there will be a more in-depth follow up of this story in the coming year.
Naughty Nicks by Christine D'Abo: Naughty Nicks is the home of sexy Santa strippers and Kim is the coordinator who has a big crush on her boss. She's enjoyes his flirty attitude and sexy looks but this year she wants more. After a bitter divorce Blake finds his attraction to Kim growing and he can only think of one bonus to give her ... himself.
This story starts out with a very sexy interlude and that mood continues throughout the plot. This is a funny, sexy story that also delves into deeper emotions as Kim tries to entice her boss back into her bed, not knowing that Blake is fighting that very urge, wanting more than just a sex partner. This is a very good romantic story.
Matzoh and Mistletoe by Jodie Griffin: Rebeccah Rickman volunteers so that others may celebrate Christmas, her usual Mitzvah or good deed. Jeremy Kohler, a cop, has been fantasizing about Rebeccah for years and finds that now though she's single, the violence that broke up her marriage has him worried. He's a Dom in the bedroom and he's afraid she will be scared away by his need to control.
The storyline mixes and blends traditions in a way that is fascinating and steamy. I loved the way they worked things out and not just with sex, with conversation and warmth. As the synopsis points out he is a Dom so there is that aspect of the book that might bother some but on the whole this is a very enjoyable read.
If you are looking for a very different holiday read ... grab SEASONS OF SEDUCTION and enjoy.
