MOONLIGHT KISS follows Addison's visit to a friend in Cricket Creek, Kentucky as she takes a break from her life. Taking stock, she realises that she's been drifting, without a passion for anything, and probably wasn't very exciting to know. Time for a change. Meanwhile, siblings Reid and Sara are arguing. Sara's quit teaching to run a visitor- friendly family farm business and hopes to branch into weddings, while Reid has the dismal facts about farm economics at his fingertips. Reid just doesn't want to see his sister fail and lose her own money as well as the family farm.
Addison's pal Mia suggests she take on a wedding dress store. They could link businesses and help each other. It sounds very interesting, and the town is thriving. Mia adds that there's plenty of baseball players and country lads in jeans around - the city girl isn't interested, until Reid enters the restaurant... Reid however makes assumptions, fuelled by showbiz rumours.
I was pleased to meet up again with Tristan and Savannah who run the Whisper's Edge retirement community, and other townsfolk are discussed. A new reader should be comfortable but there is quite a lot of gossip instead of action or challenges, making this a quieter read than some of the series. I was puzzled by how people get all their clothes off before deciding that they've let matters go too far; this is handled well in the book but in reality could lead to trouble. A more mature musician also visits Cricket Creek and I like the multi-generational tone of these romance books, especially as mature women and not starlets are valued.
Personal issues are to the fore in MOONLIGHT KISS and many readers will take encouragement from LuAnn McLane's story of starting a business. Sometimes it's worth taking a chance.
Book Summary

its baseball, shopping, and cuisine. After finally
rebounding from the recession, the residents are ready to
repair their lives—and their hearts...
After two very public broken engagements with two very
famous men, Addison Monroe is ready to avoid the spotlight.
She decides to put her wedding planning experience to good
use by opening a bridal boutique. Setting up shop in small
town Kentucky is the perfect way to escape prying eyes and
live a quiet, single life.
Investment consultant Reid Greenfield is fed up with
weddings—and not his own. He's certain his sister's
plan to turn their family farm into a wedding reception
venue will lead to bankruptcy. Reid hopes that city girl
Addison will be an ally in getting his sister to change her
mind before she loses her savings. Instead, Addison adores
the idea and jumps on board. It's a risky
business—especially once romance gets involved. But
sometimes a little risk brings a huge reward...
