Even with the bravest superheroes to fight the villains, good is never guaranteed to win. The Justice League comes together again to battle someone close to Aquaman, but saving the world is hard...especially when it's personal.

I am a huge fan of DC Comics, and while I normally only read individual heroes' comics, I still find it hard to resist the Justice League. When this powerful team including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and many others work together, incredible things happen. In JUSTICE LEAGUE VOL 3: THRONE OF ATLANTIS, the mighty heroes do not disappoint.

What I like most about this volume is the contrast between individual personal problems and united fronts. In some scenes, there is a hero or two remembering what love is. In another, the whole team is working hard to battle the evil they know can't be allowed to win. Both the personal touches and the intense action they all face make for an invigorating story.

Though the plot is intense and aggressive, it wasn't what took my breath away. The art work in this volume is completely beautiful. The expressions of anger, pain, seriousness, and sometimes even love are shown extremely well. I am especially fond of them during the scenes with Superman and Wonder Woman together. The attraction and uncertainty between them is displayed nicely.

If you are a fan of anything Justice League or of the author, Geoff Johns, I would tell you to pick up this latest volume. You will be captivated and engrossed, and maybe just like me, you will end up loving it. I am still left with a favor for more of the individual hero comics, but I will happily continue to follow the Justice League story line.
