I really loved LOSING CONTROL it is such a romantic story but also has some humor and sadness in it. I really loved both of the characters but Jake stood out to me the most, he is very charming, noble, patient, determined and loyal and Kimberly is who he wants but she doubts herself and feels as though because of her loveless marriage she wont and will never be good enough for him.
Kimberly doesn't know how Jake feels and that he is in love with her and will stop and nothing to be with her. The characters were both very lovable and both had their insecurities and were both willing to help the other get over those insecurities. I really loved the fact that they were friends and then went to lovers and Jake used all his kinky goodness to get Kimberly to realize what he was feeling.
The story line to LOSING CONTROL is so cute and just everything I could have wanted from a story and more. I really loved the way the story unfolded and the author did an amazing job and I can't wait to read more by Nina Croft.
Book Summary
Four years after escaping her abusive ex-husband, Kim finally believes she’s in control of her life and her emotions and she's determined to never risk either again with a man. She has a great home, a job as a security specialist which she loves, and Jake for a best friend. But things are a tad lonely in the sex department, so she decides to embark on a no-strings-affair with one of her hot co-workers. And who better to help her remember how to lure a man than her best friend?
Jake has wanted Kim from the moment he first saw her, but four years ago, she was too young and too damaged. So he kept her close and he kept her safe, offering her a job in his security company and the training to feel safe again, and he bided his time. But now, after the long wait, if she imagines he’s going to stand by while she seduces some other guy… Never going to happen.
