I really enjoyed CITY OF BONES, it's not every day that I read fantasy or paranormal I normally read romance but this book swept me off my feet. I love the intensity between characters and the story line was so good. I loved the characters of Jace and Clary I felt like there was this undeniable spark between them but they both come from different worlds and they kind of have this cute little banter of let me protect you, no let me protect you. Clary doesn't want to be seen as the girl who knows nothing of the world her mother once lived in and wants to fight and be strong just like everyone else. Jace only wants to protect Clary and keep her safe from the unknown that she didn't even know excited till about two hours ago.
I loved the unique writing style of Cassandra Clare, CITY OF BONES has a lot of action, humor and even some romance between the characters. What I liked most about this book is that because like I said I don't really read fantasy or paranormal I wasn't completely lost or didn't understand what some of the creatures or creepy things were because she would describe them and tell you what such things were. I really liked that because it showed me a whole different writing style and anther style of reading which I really enjoyed. I believe this is a great story that I know many people have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy.

Clary is introduced to the world of the Shadowhunters, a
secret cadre of warriors dedicated to driving demons out of
our world and back to their own. And Clary is introduced
with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary
herself is almost killed by a grotesque monster. How could a
