Darcy meets up with another young girl who is on her own. After staying in a shelter for a couple of nights, one of the volunteers offers the girls a room at his home and meals until they can be on their way. Being on their way never happens. Darcy finds herself trapped in Mark Hamilton's home and even worse, she finds her new friend dead in his freezer. Mark then locks Darcy up in a soundproof room and begins to carry out his plan. Darcy has just become Mark's chosen one. Will Dev and his agency be able to find Darcy in time?
Irene Hannon gives us a non-stop inspirational thriller with TRAPPED. It's a little slow at the beginning, laying the groundwork for Dev's investigation and the story's plot, but about half-way through, it picks up pace and becomes a non- stop page turner that you cannot put down. Both Laura and Dev are very strong characters who also have an attraction for each other. But Dev has a strict policy about mixing business and pleasure. He also has to settle some demons from his past. This is a touching story about everyone having a sense of belonging and about building trust. Darcy doesn't like Laura's rules, but quickly finds that Laura's rules aren't nearly as bad as being with Mark. If a great suspense novel is your genre, you're going to love TRAPPED!
