Layla Silver is having trouble raising her teen brother, working two jobs and trying to fix a house that seems to stay falling apart. Gage and Layla used to be high school sweethearts but he was too much of a flirt and she had problems at home which left her very shy and timid. In THE COWBOY'S CHRISTMAS COURTSHIP, Gage has spent a lot of time being angry at the world and God for what happened to his brother Reese and feels that he should be the one hurt instead.

I think Brenda Minton did a fabulous job with this book, the story was so heartwarming and almost had me in tears a few times. This story has some very deep issues with self worth, learning how to trust God with bringing good people into your life when you at least expect it.

Gage Copper really was a good person just trying to right his wrongs and how to deal with his angriness with God and to not run when things get to be too intense. The only thing I disliked about this book is that I would have loved for Gage to talk to his mother about his angriness towards God and why he thought what happened to Reese was his fault, I felt like she would be a good listener and a good advice giver.

Gage seems to pop up and help Layla countless times, even when she doesn't ask for it or want the help. What I really loved about this book was the Gage would constantly say he wasn't the marrying type and that Layla was the person worth marrying. I liked that Gage had such little self worth that to me it made him look like a stronger male for having struggles and not believing he was worth loving.

THE COWBOY'S CHRISTMAS COURTSHIP is a great love story and I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down. If you're looking for a great light read with struggles and a hunky cowboy I would definitely get this book.
