TWILIGHT HUNTER is a dark thrill ride where the action almost never stops. Kait Ballenger does a marvelous job at keeping the intensity level high, tempering the gritty action with some very hot and heavy sex scenes. Jace is a man with his own inner demons and his temper sparks constantly as his frustration increases. He is fighting against his very nature and Kait Ballenger shows this inner conflict well with his every action, even in his outbursts towards Damon Brock.
TWILIGHT HUNTER is an excellent start to a new series featuring the elite hunters of the Execution Underground. Kait Ballenger introduces us to several other hunters, such as Shane and David, and I can't wait to see their stories! We already have glimpses of David's story but it is Shanes story I'm particularly interested in seeing as his generous heart shows through even in his role as a secondary character. I look forward to the next installment of the series and hope to see a bit more development of the structure of the Execution Underground.
Book Summary

Jace McCannon has one loyalty: the Execution Underground. Despite his mixed blood, his hatred for the werewolves he hunts is legendary. But in his search for a sadistic killer, Jace finds himself face-to-face with a stunningly seductive packmaster…and longing for a night with his mortal enemy.
Nothing can stop Frankie Amato from defending her kind—or catching the rogue responsible for killing women in her territory. For that, this alpha female needs Jace's skills more than she wants to admit. But as their investigation exposes evil truths, need burns into a passion that dare not be fulfilled. For to do so will have deadly consequences for them both….
