DANGER IN AMISH COUNTRY is a collection of three short stories by today's most loved Amish authors.  The first story is Fall From Grace by Marta Perry.  Sara is the school teacher at the Amish School.  When one of her students sees a man fall to his death, Sara is compelled to get involved.  The girl's widowed father, Caleb, is afraid for his daughter and doesn't think she is safe at school.  He starts showing up more and  Sara wonders if it is for his daughters safety or another reason. Now that the townspeople and the Amish community are starting to get word about what is happening at the school, Caleb steps up and stays by Sara's side. While all of this is happening, Sara finds herself with feelings that are growing for Caleb! But does he feel the same way??

The second story is Dangerous Homecoming by Diane Burke.   Katie has been trying to hold on to her farm ever since her husband, Jacob passed away in a barn accident.  His brother, Levi has been helping her.  But someone wants her to leave.  The neighbor, Joseph King, wants her to sell the farm to him as his farm butts up to hers.  There is also an  Englishman, Mr.  Adams who wants to buy the farm, but she would never sell.  Someone is leaving her notes and telling her to get out.  Along comes her childhood friend, Joshua, and he begins to help Katie and Levi with the farm.  He was also Jacob's best friend when they were all growing up.  He has strong feelings for Katie, but she has only been a widow for a little over a year and he feels he would be disrespecting Jacob's memory if he pursued Katie. How can he tell Katie how he really feels while trying to protect her?

The third and final story is Return to Willow Trace by Kit Wilkinson. It is the story of Lydia Stoltz and Joseph Yoder. They were a couple five years ago until one day, Joseph left without a word to her. He broke her heart and tried to write to her and tell her why he went to Indiana but Lydia never read one word. One day, while working at Bishop Millers furniture store, she runs into Joseph again.  He comes running for her when their old friend Billy charges into the store, bleeding.  He dies in a few minutes but not before he warns them to be careful, they have no idea why he would say that or what has happened to him.  It seems their past is the reason why but they don't know that yet.  Strange things start to happen to them both and little by little it all starts to add up.

I loved all three stories and this book, DANGER IN AMISH COUNTRY was a quick read for me.  All three stories were wrapped up nicely and kept  me turning the pages to see what was going to happen and who did it.  Great job ladies. I have read books by Marta before but Diane and Kit were new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed their stories. DANGER IN AMISH COUNTRY is mystery and suspense at its finest.
