Just weeks before the wedding, Jackson is offered a very lucrative deal to sell the inn and the rights to duplicate it across the United States, Canada and in Europe. This offer would allow him and Emma to spend the year in Paris they have dreamed of, Emma attending a culinary school and Jackson writing his book. There are so many things to consider and so many people whose lives will be touched by Jackson's decision. Will he sell and fulfill their pipedream, or stay where he and Emma are working themselves to an early grave?
It's always nice to return to a familiar place and visit with old friends. That's what these characters have become as I've read all four books in Sandra Bricker's Emma Rae Creations series. The characters are whimsical, yet endearing, and have captured my heart. I do hope ALWAYS THE BAKER, FINALLY THE BRIDE is not Bricker's last book in this series. As with all her previous books, the author reintroduces characters without going through exhausting details of their position in the stories, as well as introducing new characters who always add depth and charm to the story. Added bonuses between each chapter are the sketches of Emma's cake possibilities for her wedding, numerous wedding tips and some delicious-sounding recipes. ALWAYS THE BAKER, FINALLY THE BRIDE can stand alone, but the entire series is a winner. Put this one on your list.
