Her prayers are answered and she ends up stowing away on a plane owned by Zane Jackson. To help build his charter business, Zane flies in weather no one else in their right mind would attempt but he needs the money in order to help his sister. Along with the income he receives from the DEA he'll soon see all of his plans come to fruition.

So why would he let a damsel in distress interfere? That's easy, there was no one there to help his sister when she was in trouble so maybe he can atone for not being around by helping Angel. Ironically the first time they meet face to face, Angel brings out emotions he thought he would never feel making her more dangerous than he could imagine.

Angel took something important from her captor and he will do whatever it takes to get it and her back which is why she must get away from the first man to show her that not all men are evil. She didn't count on how much her heart yearns for love and acceptance. As much as he tries, Zane is unable to hold onto Angel but her return stuns them both.

In between evading the hit men sent after her and trying to prove her innocence, Angel and Zane begin a love affair in which neither is sure they'll be around to see to the end. When Zane learns someone is trying to sabotage his business, his attention is split between watching Angel, looking for information on her past, and trying to find the culprit.

Who wouldn't be a wreck with all of this going on but Zane knows he can have it all if he can just keep his wits about him. A riveting thriller and a haunting love story with characters I couldn't help but empathize with. Their real life flaws keep the tension tightly woven throughout LAST CHANCE RUN while the action moves at a good enough pace to make for an even mix of suspense and romance.
