Maintaining a balance such as that is no small feat!

I believe it is because of this camaraderie between the operatives in the BKI that makes this series such a success. Readers become heavily involved in the lives of the character's, getting to know them first as a group, and then as individuals as Walker delves deeper into their own personal journey at finding love. The unexpected humor at the most distressing of times lightens the mood and creates a nice balance to the pulse-pounding action that Walker is known for.
