Mel Turner has taken over running her father's construction business, and word has it, she can communicate with ghosts. The owners of a large historic home have contacted her to restore their haunted home, for they want to turn it into a haunted Bed and Breakfast. The owners tell Mel they are aware she can speak with the dead and this encourages Mel to be the contractor that is hired. But Mel is up against another large contracting company, so she must give it her best sell.

For her to obtain the contract, she must stay overnight in the house with the other prospective contractor and the elderly caretaker Mrs. Bernini who is the previous owner. Mel brings along a couple of her friends who are scared out of their minds to see a ghost. And do they see ghosts? Oh yes they do, but as the sleepover progress's someone is murdered. Mel seeks out the help of the ghosts to find the murderer before she becomes the next victim.

Mel has no fear of ghosts, well most of the time, that is. Mel's dreams were to go to Paris, but after her mom passed away, her dad needed her to help out with the business. She finds that these ghosts are truly wearing her out, but she won't stop, until she finds out who the person is, which murdered this nice elderly woman.

I found MURDER ON THE HOUSE to be both entertaining and very scary, but I love scary. Apparently, Juliet Blackwell has more books of this nature and I so look forward to reading them all!
