Following a disastrous love affair with a married man, Grace Stone moved to Cedar Key, Florida 10 years ago to start over. Since age 12 when her parents were killed in a car accident, she and her sister Chloe lived with their Aunt Maude. Now her Aunt is also moving to the island where she has purchased the Coachman House. Gracie is forced to move into her aunt's upstairs apartment when they return to find her coffee shop and apartment burned to the ground.

Aunt Maude's idea of starting a weekend knitting retreat in her carriage house becomes a reality and also includes Gracie's older estranged sister Chloe who arrives in town after a broken marriage. The sisters have past secrets and sorrows that need to be healed. Gracie sees visions of a woman in a beautiful white wedding dress in her apartment. Reading tarot cards gives her further vision which she strives to decipher. Becoming involved with the handsome Frenchman, Lucas Trudeau, who owns the bookstore, the sharing of their painful pasts knits them together. Even Chloe has her own past to uncover in weaving the sisters together again in love. Aunt Maude, always the practical one, draws from her own past and offers rich and inspired support to the sisters. The enchanting island residents are forever supportive of each other and pull together to form a tightly woven community of love.

Even though there have been two previous tales of Cedar Key and it's residents, SUNRISE ON CEDAR KEY is the first I have had the pleasure of reading. Terry Dulong has a mystical way of weaving the lives of this community together in a most loving and interesting way. This is definitely a story leaving you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Once beginning this book, I had trouble putting it down. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I will definitely read the 4th book of the series from this very delightful and talented author.

Grace is devastated, yet ever-practical Maude has a plan. While she helps Grace resettle, Maude even has a business venture in mind—weekend knitting retreats where women can craft, chat, and support one another.

But other surprises await, including the return of Grace's estranged sister, and a tentative romance with the local bookstore owner. Knitting together her past and future will mean untangling the painful threads Grace left behind. But the result could be a vibrant new life—and the courage to live it fully. . .
