J.A.G. Major Sophie Campbell is seeking the truth behind an accident caused by either a black ops testing malfunction or stupidity. It's also bringing her face-to-face with the sexy charming Major David "Ice" Berg and it's really hard to cross examine a man when his sitting there is just too distracting. But a little boy was badly injured in that malfunction and she wants the truth.

Major Berg wants the truth, too. If one of his men was derelict in his duty he wants him punished as badly as the gorgeous J.A.G. officer does, but he's not going to let him get buried just to earn her more kudos.

As the two adversaries begin to work together to find the truth, they find they have so much in common. He has a daughter he is raising on his own, with the help of his divorced sister, and she is raising a son with the help of her grandmother, Nanny. Both are single, he divorced and she widowed. Both have been burned and have issues but that doesn't stop the flames that seem to be growing ever stronger around them whenever they meet.

GUARDIAN grips you from cover to cover and leaves you wanting more. It gives you everything from the hot guys (and gals) in uniform, the funny and heartbreaking ups and downs of every day life and the extraordinarily steamy nights. The drama is believable and true to life and the characters are well thought out with a number of personalities that fit and mix well together. There is enough danger; a break-in, car accident and plane crash, to make your breath catch but not so much that it takes away from the storyline of Sophie and David seeking the truth of the malfunction/dereliction that brought them together. I will be picking up the other Black Ops novels and waiting for more.
