Sophie Kingston is a museum curator who specializes in far eastern art. Sophie has a passion for art as well as for all of her friends and family. She witnesses a colleague being murdered in the storage rooms in the museum basement one morning and finds herself running for her life.

Pietr Sauvage is a handsome, mysterious Frenchman who shows up right after the murder, asking Sophie for her help. He has connections and is able to help Sophie with the police when she is attacked the night after the murder, but can Sophie trust him?

Sophie and Pietr are thrust into a fast paced adventure as they race to unravel the mystery surrounding the murder at the museum and the Fortunate Buddha. The danger they face draws them closer together and they soon find themselves giving in to their desires.

THE TAMING OF THE THIEF is a fast-paced, romantic adventure. Heather Long always does a wonderful job with character development and she comes through again with this book. Sophie is a beautiful, witty, strong heroine who kept me laughing through the entire book and Pietr is a wonderful bad boy who makes you swoon. THE TAMING OF THE THIEF is the follow up to The Love Thieves and I thoroughly enjoyed both books!
