Parker finds out she inherited a house in Maine at Gideon's Cove and hopes flipping it into a quick sale will help with her money situation. Unfortunately, the house is a shack and an utter nightmare to clean out and repair.

James Cahill worked for Parker's father as his lawyer/personal assistant of sorts. Without any money and her father behind bars, James comes to Parker's rescue to help her repair the house she inherited. He's always had a thing for Parker but her attitude towards him is that he is beneath her.

How will they get along while staying together at the house for a couple weeks? Will they find there is chemistry between them?

SOMEBODY TO LOVE is a beautiful, heartwarming, contemporary romance novel by the fabulous Kristan Higgins. While long at a hefty 425 pages, every page was pure perfection. The relationship between Parker and James was a complicated one and had so much depth to it. There are so many layers to this story. All of the characters added something unique with their relationship and family problems.

James is completely loveable and I rooted for him to have a happily ever after. Parker could be snobby at times with referring to James as ''Thing One'' which I detested. But throughout the story we learn the reasons behind her attitude towards James.

Everything fits together smoothly to make a beautifully crafted novel. Gideon's Cove is a picturesque small town where there's a local store and diner, and everyone knows your name, your business, and your secrets. It is the perfect escape and transition for Parker to become who she truly is inside, which is far from the rich snob she portrays.

If you're looking for a great contemporary romance to devour in a weekend, SOMEBODY TO LOVE is definitely that book. I enjoyed the escape and look forward to traveling away with Kristan Higgins' characters in her next story. Wherever they take me, I will follow.
