"The Focus is on Nick"

Nick is an interesting character and the reader can look forward to much more from him in INVINCIBLE the second novel of this series. A reader does not have to read the Dark Hunter series in order to understand the plot and characters. In INVINCIBLE, Nick is more focused about discovering his powers and controlling them. He still has to deal with the pesky zombie situation as well as school and possible stalkers. Nick doesn't really have time to be a true teenager, instead he must act more mature.

Nick's character is the biggest draw to this novel. He is funny, sarcastic, and witty. He does self-deprecate, at times, but he does receive a few self-esteem boosts. He truly needs to "think on his feet." The other characters were interesting, but not as focused upon. The plot itself was full of action scenes that will make this book difficult to put down. Overall, any fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon's will find INVINCIBLE terrific.

Book Summary

Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse...

Nick Gautier’s day just keeps getting better and better. Yeah, he survived the zombie attacks, only to wake up and find himself enslaved to a world of shapeshifters and demons out to claim his soul.

His new principal thinks he’s even more of a hoodlum than the last one, his coach is trying to recruit him to things he can’t even mention and the girl he’s not seeing, but is, has secrets that terrify him.

But more than that, he’s being groomed by the darkest of powers and if he doesn’t learn how to raise the dead by the end of the week, he will become one of them...
