Artist Giselle "Elle" Monroe has finally located the painting of her grandmother that was stolen from her. The only problem is she has no paperwork to prove it belongs to her which is why she planned on stealing it back. That's a problem too since she doesn't know what room it is in. That does not mean Elle won't find it. She will just have to be a little more creative in keeping out of sight of Zane. Too bad a mutual attraction makes that harder. Zane tries everything to get Elle to confide in him. Elle would love to but is afraid the steps she has taken to retrieve her property may be more than he can forgive.
I liked Zane a lot. He is sexy, kind and knows how to turn the heat up. The other characters were wonderful but the heroine is another story entirely. Her character comes across as a super independent woman who needs help from no one, especially a man. TAKE IT DOWN is a pretty good book but it could have been better if there had been more communication from the heroine and less "anything you can do I can do it better" attitude.
