Major Mark "Viper" Henderson fell in love with Captain Emily Beale almost the moment he met her and not just because she is the best helicopter pilot around, other than himself of course. Unfortunately the differences of their ranks, Captain vs Major, Mark is unable to indulge himself with Emily so he over compensates with little to no compliments pushing Emily to always fly at her best and stay safe. Mark is shocked thinking he pushed Emily to seek a transfer but seeing Emily upset about a reassignment letter Mark immediately becomes concerned that something is not what it seems. Mark's curiosity at why Uncle Sam feels it is necessary to remove Emily from flying is mind boggling, he no choice but to check out the situation himself.
What a pleasant surprise THE NIGHT IS MINE is. Honestly, at first I had no idea who the author is, I just knew the cover is great. As I started reading, I noticed the military detail is so exciting and believable my first thought is ML Buchman must be a guy, then the character building with such strong emotional connection and scorching chemistry is before me and I just didn't know. THE NIGHT IS MINE is one of the most exciting Military Romantic Suspense that I have ever read. I was on the edge of my seat during every action scene. This is a must read, don't miss it.
