The reader will love the setting and environment of SPELLS & STITCHES. The author describes everything in such detail that it is easy to picture the scenes and characters. The homey feel of Chloe and Luke's house combined with the exciting possibility that comes from new life makes for a great story. The reader will fall in love with little Laria as surely as her parents do. Chloe's character is motherly with an edge of sexy sorceress. She is mostly in complete control of her own powers,barring hormonal changes with pregnancy, but not her child. Luke is the typical goofy, loving husband that one would want for Chloe. This little family will capture the readers' heart.

The town of Sugar Maple is home to many supernatural creatures, but is there anyone who can help Chloe and Luke help their little Laria? Barbara Bretton does a wonderful job incorporating family dynamics within SPELLS & STITCHES. The magical town will grow on the reader as they discover more of the secrets. A reader should start at the beginning of this series with Casting Spells, but SPELLS & STITCHES is a book every fantasy reader should not miss.
