Tobias and an unknown assistant feel that someone is setting him up for a fall, and throughout the series they have managed to manipulate his children into returning to Black Oak to clear Tobias' name. Now it's time to bring the child most like Tobias back into the family fold and clear Tobias' name once and for all.

Gabriel Black left Black Oak vowing not to return until he could run the cons better than his father ever did. When he comes back to Black Oak it's to run what has the potential to be the most important con of his career. Can he infiltrate a strong criminal ring and convince them to introduce him to their leader so he can clear his father's name once and for all.

What Gabriel doesn't expect is to find that the FBI Agent he is coerced into working with, Danita Cruz, is not only beautiful but smart. She appears to be hurting as much from her child hood experiences as he pretends not to be hurting from his.

The chemistry between the two, in my opinion, is the strongest of the trilogy, therefore making turning the pages a true pleasure. Readers not only have to wonder if Gabriel will get the introduction to the big boss he craves, but as to whether or not Gabriel and Danita can look past their attraction to each other and work together to solve the case.

As I said previously this was my personal favorite of the trilogy and the pages fly by. The conclusion of SEX, LIES and VALENTINES is exciting and action packed. When I turned the last page I was truly satisfied as not only did I know who the crime boss turned out to be but also why. I also learned who had been helping Tobias get his children home one at a time, and that bit of information left me wondering if perhaps there might be one more story involving Hunter, the lead investigator during the Tobias Black case.
