Lindsay Gibson is ready to start her new career in the hospitality industry; unfortunately Lindsay has missed the connecting flight to her future destination. All is not lost as she sees a striking, tall drink of water in the same airport. Lindsay instantly feels drawn to him and more than willing to let him know that she is way beyond interested in getting to know him better. As luck has it they are traveling the same way and after introducing himself as Adrian Mitchell, Adrian convinces Lindsay to join him for dinner at his home, he promises to cook for her; Lindsay is sure she has landed in another dimension. A trip to a local grocery store proves to be more telling about the stranger Lindsay feels safe with but more than that it exposes Lindsay's uncanny way of knowing when evil lurks around corners.
A TOUCH OF CRIMSON is Sylvia Day's first book in the Renegade Angel series and what a beginning. Day's version of Angels, Vampires, Lycans, and demons is so fresh and new that I reread some areas over just to make sure I understood the twist and turns correctly. A Touch of Crimson is action-packed, powerful, and full of suspense quickly confirming that it is a perfect start to a new series. I can't wait for the next one. Fabulous read!
