When Miss Harmer, a noted town recluse, has a niece and her friend move in with her, and Verna Tidwell recognizes the niece, Nona Jamison as one of the famous "Naughty and Nice Sisters" of "Ziegfeld Frolic" fame - well, it certainly has the town buzzing.

Albert has definitely done her research on small town life in Alabama in the 1930s and its fun to find the references to long-ago traditions that are gone today. She also includes a collection of delicious recipes from that era as well as household tips that can still be counted on today. This is the second book in the "Darling Dahlias" series, and I hope Albert has plenty more lined up for future enjoyment
