Owen, a bitter and annoying man, has his own past history of grief and loss. Denying Sophie access to his house isn't in the cards when his resident ghost Ivy Halliday insists on opening the door for Sophie. Agreeing to comply, Owen insists Sophie move in until the wedding is over with the hopes she can help him stop the constant daily irritating antics of Ivy. Naturally, Sophia is stunned when Ivy first appears to her. The mischievous ghost, through all her pranks, becomes endeared to Sophie. Sophie falls head over heels in love with Owen and hopes for a fresh start on love after experiencing being jilted at the altar herself. Owen and Sophie seek the mysterious secrets of Ivy in the hopes of resolving her past life and reason for hanging around.
The pesky elegant ghost of the past keeps Owen and Sophie on their toes "putting out fires" at every turn. Ivy is insistent that Owen respect her home and is determined that "NO" wedding will be held there as she herself was jilted the day of her wedding. Together Owen and Sophie hope to give Ivy some peace and strive to unravel the mystery surrounding Ivy's missing fiance.
I found this to be a most delightful and entertaining story of true love filled with fuzzy and warm feelings found when least expected. A "don't miss" read!!
