BABY, COME HOME is the second book in Stephanie Bonds' Southern Roads Series featuring the Armstrong brothers. In Baby, Drive South we met Porter, Kendall, and Marcus Armstrong who are determined to rebuild their home town ten years after it was destroyed by a tornado. They have a federal grant and two years to build a self-sustaining green community. They have money, creativity, and men who aren't afraid of a hard work and long days. What they don't have is women, and it's starting to affect the men who are getting mighty lonely. So, Kendall places an ad in the newspaper of Broadway, Michigan, a town hit hard by the economic downturn, hoping a few adventurous women will join their effort. Actually, Kendall is hoping one woman in particular will respond. He made the mistake of leaving Amy Bradshaw once; he's hoping she'll recognize his invitation to come home. When Amy, a civil-engineer, reluctantly returns to Sweetness to help re-build a bridge, she brings much more than her professional talents.

I enjoyed the continuing adventures of the Armstrong brothers and Sweetness' new residents. Kendall and Amy have some real issues to work through, and their struggles ring true. I particularly liked becoming better acquainted with some of the supporting characters. I look forward to seeing where they all end up in Baby, Don't Go.
