A group of readers has gathered in the bookstore to listen to a local writer, Danny Bradley, discuss events that might inspire his writing. Danny tells the story of a young woman who died in mysterious circumstances fifteen years ago. Harmony Farrow died on her graduation night and police never found the killer. Danny's retelling of the story will bring the horrible consequences of murder to the forefront of the minds of townsfolk of Sea Harbor.

When Harmony's best friend, Tiffany, is found dead, the mystery will awaken the curiosity of Nell and the rest of the Seaside Knitters. Are the two deaths connected? If so, why the gap of fifteen years? Since both women were friends with Andy, a drummer in a local band, he now becomes the number one suspect.

Nell and her friends will take action to find the real killer. After all, Izzy and Sam are getting married soon and there must be nothing to mar the celebration.

These books are cozies in the truest sense of the word. The fifth in the series, Ms. Goldenbaum has built a community of characters that makes the reader wish they could live there and interact with the locals. The books focus on the relationships between the characters and the mystery is secondary. There is an impression of danger and a few disturbing events but never enough to distract from the character interactions. Eminently readable, one always feels a sense of loss when putting the books down. Ms. Goldenbaum keeps us coming back for more of the Seaside Knitters.
