Isadora Presley is a broken young lady. She has been ever since the accident that shattered her world. Issy held her mother as she died in her own arms. Her dad, the local high school football coach, is now a quadriplegic in the Care Center. Issy came through the accident completely unharmed, physically. She has not ventured more than a block away from her home and yard in over two years. She cannot even bring herself to go visit her dad one mile away.

Issy's dreams of becoming a big-time TV personality were crushed in the accident that night as well. She hides behind the radio personality of Miss Foolish Heart on a nighttime talk show, produced from her own upstairs bedroom. She only has to talk to her guests over the phone or respond to them in the online chat room. That's easy for Issy. It's facing a live person that terrifies her. Only her best friend Lucy and her therapist know that she is Miss Foolish Heart.

Caleb Knight moves in next door to Issy when he is hired to teach at the local high school and take the football coaching position. The house he rents has not been occupied in some time, and Issy hopes he will do some major clean up in the yard. It's certainly an eye sore compared to hers, which she keeps perfectly manicured. But when Caleb's dog destroys one of her prize hostas, Issy marches over to Caleb's house and gives him a list of things she wants him to do to improve the looks of the place. Caleb is instantly intrigued by Issy's eyes. He sees not only their beauty, but also her troubled soul. While waiting to hear his favorite radio show one night, he tunes in early and catches the end of Miss Foolish Heart. Something she says about finding love moves him to call in to the show, using the moniker "BoyNextDoor" as his call-in name. A series of dialogs begins between the two of them as Miss Foolish Heart tries to help BoyNextDoor get his Girl. Little does she know that she's the Girl, and Caleb doesn't know that Issy is Miss Foolish Heart, not at first that is.

This delightful story will warm your heart and bring a smile to your face as Caleb tries to do everything Issy tells him to do to get the Girl. Caleb has seen trauma himself and is only partially the man he used to be, literally. He draws from his own experience with his own disability to bring Issy back from her lonely place and into the world again. This is an inspirational story about God's loving grace, getting a second chance, and then doing what is right with that second chance. MY FOOLISH HEART is a romantic inspirational you will not want to miss.
